History
Balenbouche Estate chronicles St. Lucia’s history for over 2000 years. Our Self-guided and Guided plantation tours include local St Lucia plant and wildlife, Amerindian tools and pottery, an 18th century sugar mill, and the antique furnished 180-year old Plantation House.
Mission
Balenbouche is a unique heritage site, family home and Guesthouse, which pioneered ecotourism in St. Lucia over 20 years ago. An old property requires a large commitment, and much of the maintenance is done ourselves. Our holistic approach seeks to nurture and preserve Balenbouche for many future generations.
